A message from Phoenix House Captains

Welcome back to school everyone. I hope you all had a relaxing and refreshing break and are ready to come back and ready to face a busy Term 3. At the end of last term we participated in the MAD Day walk. I would like to say a big thank you to all those who donated and raised money to support people in need. I am sure that these funds will be a big help to all those less fortunate than ourselves. It is pleasing to see St John’s students actively fundraising for these causes. There will be many more fundraisers running throughout Term 3 as well, with all profits going to those in need. I look forward to seeing how much money we can raise from those activities.

Phoenix House Captain

A winner is someone that takes a leap of faith and tries their best no matter what others say.

Seeing Phoenix students do their best during all the events held this year has been a great experience. Phoenix students stand together like a big family and always encourage each other. At the end of Term 2, the Phoenix House Captains decided to end the month and term with a fun activity. The activity was an opportunity for Phoenix homeroom members to get together, have fun and show teamwork. The activity chosen was a Treasure Hunt. The Treasure Hunt consisted of homerooms discovering answers to a list of questions that were scattered throughout the school. The first homeroom to answer all questions correctly and fastest, were rewarded with a prize. In the end, all the Phoenix students who took part were rewarded for their participation and hard work. This activity brought joy to lots of Phoenix students. Seeing the students laughing, running around was a fabulous way to end the term.
