Foundation 

We have made it to the end of Term 2! Half way through our first year of school, and gee have we learnt, explored, played and grown a lot! 

We have enjoyed watching the chicks grow and learning all about what chickens need. We have enjoyed petting them and seeing their feathers change colours. We are looking forward to introducing them to our other Rangeview Chickens and seeing them continue to grow in the outdoor chicken coop next term. 

We have been exploring our social skills, and refining our negotiation, turn taking and sharing skills through play experiences. We are all finding our voice and extending our language skills, and are figuring out how to communicate with our peers and our teachers. We are having a great time exploring and getting creative together! 

We have been working so hard at school, we are all getting tired and ready for a holiday! Some things we encourage you to do over the holidays to continue learning includes: reading books and stories, drawing pictures about adventures you go on, have a go at writing one sentence about your picture, get outside to explore, and get creative with playing. Use things like chalk to write your sight words on the foot path or draw beautiful pictures for your neighbours. Collect things from your holiday adventures to remember what you did and help you draw or write about your experiences. We are looking forward to seeing and hearing about all the fun things you get up to!
