Matific Award

Matific is a fantastic mathematics e-platform that allows students to consolidate classroom teaching and experiences. Matific is design to present mathematical concepts in a fun and engaging way.  Students use an avatar named Yedi to navigate their own mathematical journey. Students are able to choose activities from three areas. 

1. Assigned work. Activities in this section are carefully selected by the classroom teacher and designed to support classroom teaching. 
2. Adventure Island. Each student learns at their own pace on Adventure Island as Matific adjusts each students activites to match their individual level of understanding.
3. Training Zone. In the Training Zone, students have access to unlimited mathematics practice by specific topics or skills. Students browse and pick the skill they’d like to practice. 

There is also an Arena area where students can battle and practice their fluency. This area requires an access code and can only be used at school. 

This term we will be introducing a fortnightly Matific Award, this award will be given to the student who has completed the most activities over the fortnight. The winning student from Foundation – Year 2 and Year 3-6 will receive a certificate and ticket in the raffle for an end of term prize pack.
