WANTED

Have you got a few spare hours each week?

Are you looking for something rewarding?

We are able to welcome back Parent Helpers in Term 3, to support our Literacy programme. Please join us for our parent helper training session so that we can help get you started. You will be supported by Mel Sotelo who is our Literacy Leader, and will guide you through the whole process. If you have attended a training session in the past, please come along for a refresher.

Parent Helper Training

Wednesday 27th July

9:00-10:30

SFX Library

This session will include:

Protocols and expectations
The Pause Prompt Praise method for helping early readers
Strategies for reluctant readers
Scheduling your availability for the roster
Booking in your first supported helper session (working with Mel & a student)
Morning tea & questions :)

Please arrange care for your little ones so you can get the most out of the session.

To volunteer in school you must have a current Working with Children's check. Please apply online for your WWC at least 3 weeks before the helper training session and bring your WWC card on the day.

You are encouraged to wear a mask in the interest of protecting our school community, as well as yourself. Thank you for your consideration.
