WEEKEND MASS WITH YEAR 2 STUDENTS
Last weekend our Year 2 students and families attended Sunday morning's mass at 11:15am. We had many students and parents participate in the readings for the day as well as assist with the procession. The music was beautiful and Father's homily about the Gospel Luke11: 1-13 was a comforting reminder that we are all challenged at times, especially when things that we pray for don't always go the way we want or expect. It is written, "Ask and it will be given to you". I wonder how we encourage others, both family and friends, during a time when a prayer is not answered? We wonder if God is listening. What is the response you give to loved ones when things don't make sense? Are you one who encourages others to keep hopeful and to keep praying? God's will in our lives is part of the challenge of being a Christian. God knows what is best for us and being patient as we wait takes discipline and self control.

All families are welcome to attend St. John's Mitcham mass at 11:15am on Sunday, 7 August. This mass will be celebrated in conjunction with Year 1 students from St. James so we hope that you can attend to make it extra special. Let me know if you would like to assist with readings or prayers.
