TERM 3 SPORT

I would just like to say a huge thank you to all staff who have assisted with the sport program this term.  It has been a big few weeks and wouldn't have been possible without your support.  I'd like to start with the Yr 3-6 teachers for helping me gather around 200 permission slips over the past few weeks - not an easy task!

We had a fabulous day last Monday at MSAC for Yr 3/4 Hoop Time.  We had 60 students divided into 8 teams playing basketball all day, it was a big day!  4 of our teams made it through to the semi finals and all students had a fabulous time and their behaviour was outstanding.  Thanks Anna, Meg, Nina, Kate and Nina's daughter Isabella for coaching, scoring and assisting with students.

Similarly, we had another fabulous day with the Yr 5/6 Hoop Time a few weeks ago.  Many thanks to Cathy F, Nina and Nina's daughter Isabella for coaching, scoring and assisting on this day.  We had 60 students divided in 7 teams, so another huge day and the children were brilliant.

Last Tuesday was another fabulous day of sport at St James.  Thanks Liam for taking the girls soccer team to the Regional Soccer finals and congratulations for now having  the opportunity to be a participant team in the SSV State Primary Girls Football (Soccer) final on  1 September 2016.

Thank you to Lucas, Stacey, Susannah and Nina for taking over 60 students to the Holt District Athletics Carnival.  This was another fabulous day and we have 23 students who have qualified for Beachside Division! Please return permission forms by tomorrow, Friday 17th August and see attached program of events.
