Networks, Education and the Future

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world

Nelson Mandela

It is one year since we closed the ISQua Office in Ireland at the start of the pandemic. We have learnt to think and work differently, and how to connect with our networks differently.

As I consider the future of ISQua, I see it as a growing network of members spanning the different parts of the globe, bringing people together to make a difference. COVID has shown us the need to share knowledge, skills and the human experience. We have to learn quickly and be ahead of the curve – being behind the speed of the pandemic has cost countless lives. And now, with a potential end in sight, we need to reflect and ask what have learnt and how we can be different in the future. Knowledge is the power to make that difference.

Healthcare has focused too much on disease management, rather than on promoting health in all that we do. COVID has shown us that we need to reach across all sectors to come together to preserve life and to prosper.

That is where our particular network comes in. We have over 100 institutions as part of the Network, and we can all make a difference if we come together to share our experiences, our failures and our successes. We must learn, as we cannot do it all alone.

Learning together how to be prepared or how to react, how to prevent or how to treat, how to improve and how to be safe. In all these endeavours we will be stronger if we are in unison.

In a few months’ time on 8th-11th July, we will meet virtually at our annual knowledge festival – the ISQua Conference. We last met in October 2019 in Cape Town and we were due to be in Florence last year.

We want you to join us at our virtual 2021 Florentine conference to make it the Knowledge event of the year where you can Network and have a Voice. We have deliberately priced the Conference to make it accessible and equitable.

Wouldn’t it be great if each of you sent a minimum of 10 members of your organisation to learn, share and prosper with the wealth of knowledge and networking opportunities available?

Join us in “Virtual Florence”. With your membership, you receive ten tickets at the discounted members’ rate. If you send more than 10 members of your team, we will offer a further discount.

Also, please consider sponsoring a session - a virtual room to share your message.
