Health & Physical Education

The Health and Physical Education department welcomes back all Mazenod students. In 2021, students will be provided with a wide array of learning experiences both in and out of the classroom. To support the development of your son in Health and Physical Education, excursions will take place off site. We kindly ask that parents and guardians approve excursions online when prompted throughout the year. These activities enable students to further strengthen key knowledge and skills from the curriculum. Furthermore, they provide lifelong skills and help to establish the importance of enjoying a healthy and active lifestyle.

After being postponed one week due to lockdown restrictions, the Year 7 swimming program commenced this week. The students participate in swimming lessons across six weeks to improve water safety, develop swimming ability and increase their confidence around water. Under the guidance of Mr Miller, 7Gavin are the first class to begin the program, with remaining Year 7 classes to undertake lessons in Terms 2 and 3.

Students are reminded of the following expectations for practical lessons. For every timetabled PE practical lesson, students require the following;

  • Sport uniform – to be worn all day for timetabled PE lesson and sport afternoon
  • Drink bottle
  • Hat
