From our School Captains

Talia, SLD

Hi my name is Talia, but really, I'm Tali!  I have two cats at home called Daisy and Phoebe, and a bunny.  On the weekends I love to go down to our local park and ride on my skateboard.  I’m currently reading Shadowwalkers, what are you reading? 

My top three character strengths are Humour, Humility and Leadership.  I have learnt to show these strengths with the help of all my amazing and supportive teachers and friends.  I love to make people laugh, and I really enjoy working in groups and am happy to keep everyone on track and comfortable.  I don’t believe in showing off, instead I think people should just let their skills speak for themselves. 

I absolutely can’t wait to help lead our wonderful school through this year, after how crazy last year was!  For a while, I have wanted to be a School Leader, so this position is very much a privilege.

Anna, SRT

Hi, my name is Anna. I am one of the School Captains for 2021.

Hunter, SDB

Hi, I’m Hunter and I am also a School Captain for 2021. I have been looking forward to being a School Captain this year. I love making movies, bike riding and looking after the 120 animals at my Farm.

Some of my best character strengths are Kindness, Humour  and Leadership.

Angus, SJC

Hey, I’m Angus.  I am 1 of 4 School Captains for 2021.  I Love tennis, basketball and netball.  I Like making movies, watching sport and playing Sport.  At Recess and Lunch I love playing basketball and footy.  I have many character strengths including Love, Humour, Leadership and Teamwork.  I am so grateful being 1 of your School Captains for 2021.  I play tennis at East Croydon Tennis Club and basketball at SEBC Saints.  I also go for The Best Football Club, Carlton!  Stay tuned for 2021, we’ve got a Lot Coming!

2021 Leadership Project

Each year, all the school leaders collaborate and decide on an area that they would like to improve.  Mr Holdsworth has had a few meetings with a few of our Captains, and they have narrowed it down to improving either the Farm area, the school sandpits, the Birches, the Junior School Oval/Playground or the Senior School Courtyard, just outside Miss Fraser and Mr Cram’s rooms.  Could everybody please fill in the form, including parents/guardians if they would like to.  It is optional for parents/guardians.  All students are required to fill in the form, but teachers will cover that in class.  Teachers will also be completing the form.

Joke of the week

To close each assembly, we usually choose about 3 jokes given by the students.  We will still do this in the future Assemblies this year, so if your child would like to tell a joke at future Assemblies, please fill out the Google Form below and the joke you would like to present in future Whole School Assemblies.  Please fill this out at least 2 days before the Assembly if you would like to do it.
