International Women's Day

Monday the 8th of March is International Women’s Day.

Women of the world want and deserve an equal future free from stigma, stereotypes and violence; a future that’s sustainable, peaceful, with equal rights and opportunities for all.

This year, the theme for International Women’s Day (8 March), “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world,” celebrates the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and highlights the gaps that remain.

On Tuesday the 9th March as a school we will celebrate all the women and girls in our community. We acknowledge and value all the efforts, support, belief and bravery our women constantly demonstrate in closing the gap of gender inequality.

As a Human Literacy school, we are proud that we are a gender inclusive school. We respect all people, ideas, opinions and actions. Our weekly Human Literacy sessions and teaching of social and emotional capabilities throughout the curriculum are instilling a sense of personal and school pride in each of our students. This is real learning for life.
