Eco Village - Aleph

The Aleph students visited the Mildura Eco Village a few weeks ago.  We got to experience the Community Gardens and identify its various flowers, fruit, herbs and vegetables by doing a scavenger hunt! 

We got to see what seasonal produce is and why it’s important to buy local. The students found out what causes an urban heat island and discussed the value of trees and urban diversity in our environment. We used infrared thermometers to test areas of the Eco Village for various temperatures.
