A number of universities that offer courses in medicine, dentistry and health sciences require you to sit the UCAT. If you do not sit this test, you cannot be offered a place in those degrees.
Applications to sit the test close on May 17.
International students need to sit the ISAT.
Please familiarise yourself with the test requirements and which courses are relevant, then register if appropriate.
Where do students register?
Registration and Booking are open now at the UCAT ANZ website and will close on 17 May 2019 at 11:59pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time). Late registrations or bookings will not be accepted after this deadline.
Please note the following important information available at the UCAT ANZ website:
Free official UCAT practice materials are available at the website.
For students who wish to attend ANU next year, they should be lodging their application during this period directly through the uni’s website. Students will be offered conditional offers in August/September.
It will still be possible to apply via UAC in the same way that Victorian uni applications are handled, but the university is not guaranteeing that all courses will still have places available at that time, so do not wait until then.
Please download the application guide below. Make sure you apply for accommodation and scholarships as well. ANU guarantees on-campus accommodation for all first year students, but only if you follow all the prompts to access that service.
For students who would like to gain a great deal of information at one time from a large number of universities and other organisations, a career expo can be a very worthwhile experience. Be aware that these are big events, so a little bit of forward planning helps to ensure your visit is a success.
Ms Witt has a few free tickets to give away; just drop into M11 for these.
Year 11 students will all be attending the Age Careers Expo later in the year as well.

Schools are supported in their work around careers and pathways by a number of community-based partners, one of which is the INLLEN (Inner Northern Local Learning and Employment Network). The INLLEN runs the INYET (Inner Northern Youth Employment Taskforce), a working group that brings together schools, tertiary institutions, TAFE colleges, industry partners and local councils to develop strategies for improving employment outcomes for young people in this area. Inner Northern Melbourne actually has one of the highest unemployment rates for young people, so the work of the INYET is hugely important.
You can do your bit by encouraging anyone in Year 11 or 12 to complete this survey on work. The data being gathered aims to identify how people in this age group are engaging with various aspects of the world of work. Once completed, the information gained will be used to inform the next few years of work done by the INYET to ensure that all young people in Darebin, Moreland and Yarra are being catered for in terms of being able to prepare themselves for active participation in the workforce, at whichever entry point suits their personal circumstances. As one of the largest schools in this area, it is important that our voices form part of the data collection process. Thanks for your anticipated support with this.
