Innovate grants now open

Do you have an innovative idea to improve the school?
The Northcote Thrive Fund: Innovate exists to encourage and embrace innovative thinking at Northcote High School.
Applications to the Fund are open to students or staff members – either individuals or groups - who would like to propose new, creative and different ways of doing things that will benefit the school.
In 2019, 10 grants of up to $500 are available. Funds are to be used to research and advance or implement the proposed projects.
The closing date for 2019 applications is Friday 24 May. Groups have up to one year to complete their project.
In 2018, the following projects were funded by Innovate:
- Purchase of a gaming system by the Gamers' Club: to be used to increase membership and raise the club's profile
- Creation of a mural to celebrate the graduating VCAL class
- Purchase of robotics equipment to allow the STEAM team to enter more competitions
- Purchase of social media advertising to promote a Public Service Announcement video made by the FemCo
- An author workshop with the Book Club
The Thrive fund is administered by School Council. We are looking forward to reading your grant applications! For more information go to myNorthcoteHigh – Co-Curricular – Groups and Clubs or https://schoolbox.nhs.vic.edu.au/homepage/17411
