K-6 Sport

Stage 3 Sport

This term Year 5 & 6 will participate in a variety of activities such as Tribes & Territories, Volleyball, Small Games and Continuous Cricket. Students will also go bushwalking to Gooniwigal. In Week 3 5/6W & 5/6S will go, while in Week 5 5/6B & 5/6GD will attend. After this students will participate in a swimming program for 4 weeks at the Inverell Pool.

Stage 2 Swimming

This term, as part of the Stage 2 Sports program, we are taking all children to the Town Pool for stroke development, water safety procedures, rescues and to participate in water activities. Students will be placed in a variety of groups and supervised by classroom teachers and aides. Students will travel to the pool by bus from 1:50pm – 3:00pm each Friday starting 23 October for 4 weeks. Cost will be $3.40 each week for pool entry (season passes may be used, but students will need to bring these with them each week). Please return permission slips to your child’s classroom teacher by Friday 16 October. Year 1 Swimming

As part of the Year 1 Physical Education program, we are taking all Year 1 children to the Town Pool to develop water confidence, stroke development and participate in water activities. Students will be grouped according to their ability.

They will go to the pool by bus from 1:45pm – 3:00pm each Thursday starting 29 October, for 5 weeks. Permission notes and further information went home with students yesterday. Please return all notes by Friday 23 October. 

Diocesan Touch & Netball Gala Day

Children in Year 5 & 6 will have the opportunity to nominate to represent Holy Trinity at the 2020 Diocesan Touch & Netball Gala Day in Tamworth on Friday 20 November. Students will travel by bus to Tamworth and leave at 5:45am from the Tourist Information Centre. The day will conclude at approximately 2:30pm where students will be transported back to Inverell. Cost for the day is $5 entry fee plus $25 for the bus ($30.00 in total). Unfortunately, parents are not permitted to attend due to Covid-19 restrictions. Trials will be held for interested students over the next few weeks. Students who are successful will receive a note.
