Well being: Sunsmart

Being Sun smart

We encourage everyone in our community, students and staff to be sun smart. This means we  follow the Victorian Cancer Council Sunsmart guidelines of Slip! Slop! Slap! Seek! Slide! From mid August until the end of April we all wear hats when outside and a very close eye is kept on the UV index and when it is high or extreme, measures are taken to protect us all from the sun. We have seek shade playtimes or stay inside breaks.

It is important that families continue to teach and practice the Sunsmart Program's message to ensure that they are reducing their chances of getting skin cancer. To gather information as we approach weather with regular extreme UV ratings you can use the fact sheet below or visit the Sunsmart website . https://www.sunsmart.com.au/ to keep your family safe.
