SWIMMING CARNIVAL
MS SAIGE OTTREY - STUDENT EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR
The St Mary MacKillop College Swimming Carnival was held on Thursday, February 17th and conditions were perfect. The staff and students had an incredible day at the Swan Hill Outdoor Pool and the photos show the joy on all faces.
There were some show stopping performances throughout the day but none bigger than the win by Solomon House.
The pressure was on for the Solomon House as they were eyeing off the 10th consecutive win. They had signs done up and from the get go everyone could tell they were going to cheer the swimmers all the way to get the 10th win.
Congratulations SOLOMON House, you did it! SOLOMON also took home the House Spirit award to round out a memorable day. Congratulations to you all on this incredible achievement.
Some of the other individual achievements from the day are listed below, with special mention to Julian Muir who broke two 10 year records previously set by Angus Verbeek. Angus was also an extremely strong swimmer, so breaking his records is a very impressive effort. Well done Julian.
Overall well done to all students for their involvement throughout the day.

3rd place: Xavier House 1,905 points
4th place: Woods House 1,700 points
