Old Boys Careers Information Evening

On Wednesday 23 March, students from Years 11 and 12 attended the Old Boys’ Careers Information Evening at the College. This event provided the boys with the opportunity to be inspired as they listened to the education and career pathways of the Old Boys of St Patrick’s College. Throughout the evening, each boy attended three career presentations in the career field of their choice. After taking   onboard the feedback from last year’s Careers Evening, this year we had a more diverse range of career fields for students to select from than ever before. There were 43 Old Boys who graciously gave up their time to present to students on various careers.

The Old Boys provided insight into their career progression, including information relating to work performed, educational requirements, career prospects and pathways, as well as their own practical experience and journey. The message that came through from the presenters is that the world of work is ever-changing, and learning is lifelong.

The event captured the true community spirit of St Patrick’s College, as symbolised by our touchstone, Inclusive Community. The Old Boys of St Patrick’s College are committed to playing their part in the common good of assisting our boys to become inclusive men in this dynamic world.
