'Seeing the world through a different lens.'

ART ROOM

Hello everyone. I am on the hunt for empty plastic butter containers. Can you please recycle these for me. I need lots of them. I would also like to thank the kind lady who donated all of her grandfathers wooden beads to our stocks. These will be an amazing add on to our textile supplies. Thank you to all the parents who continue to support our art program being so sustainable. We are leading the way in being innovative and creative in our use of recycled materials. Please continue to send in any interesting bits and bobs that you might find in your work place or home that could supplement our textile, collage or construction activities. having a wider range of materials helps develop the students imagination.

Tomorrow, at the end of the day, our students will be participating in some earth hour activities. The rest of the world will be doing the same on Saturday 26th March. Maybe you could join in at home and have an hour without power? Please take a photo of your family participating in earth hour, share it with me and we will include it in our next newsletter.

ANZAC DAY  -  REMINDER

We are putting together a hall display to honor our family members who have served as a member of the armed forces, peace keeping missions, war nurses and medical staff. The country of service does not need to be Australia.

I already have many families' photos (from previous years display), however, I do not have many from junior school area.

If you would like to add your family member to our display please send me a copy of your photo and a little information regarding the person and how they are related to your student at our school by next Wednesday March 30th.

I will need to have the display organised before the school holidays begin. Thank you as always for your support.

Creative Insects

Students used their imagination and knowledge about insects to skillfully make fantastic, insect creations. They then made a presentation stand to display their work.

They will soon be on display in our hall.
