Roving Reporters - making a splash!
Many thanks to the Roving Reporters
Conor Philips, Kevin Sun and Josh Deveraux
who covered the Swimming Carnival event for the Brunswick Star.
These intrepid reporters were on the ground, taking photos and recording interviews with students - finding out what they enjoyed about the carnival, and all the fun they were having!

My favourite thing is seeing students from all different year levels come together and supporting each other in their House competitions. It is a great atmosphere - really empowering and uplifting.
I think participation levels are good too. After Covid [lockdowns], it is great to see people getting back into things! Go Abyad!

This year the carnival feels extra special, given the past 2 years. There is an optimistic feeling in the air, and I hope this event signals a return to our rich cocurricular program that has been on hold. There is a really nice feeling of community today!
