Religious Education

The Religious Education Department now delivers Studies of Religion 1 in the traditional mode, over 2 years, at Mater Dei. For several years students completed the course in Year 11 as a ‘blended and compressed’ mode of study. This change has been very positive for students allowing them more time between assessment tasks, with one task per term instead of two. Another benefit of this transformation has been the re-commencement of Studies of Religion 2, offering more choice of Religious Tradition depth studies for our students to engage with.

During the recent Open Night, Studies of Religion students showcased a range of contemporary learning techniques on offer at the College.
