SPORT REPORT - TERM 2, WEEK 2

Welcome back to Term 2. I hope you all are feeling well and ready to return to the College in the near future to some routines that you are more familiar with.

At this point in time, the powers that be (Government, Education, Governing Sporting bodies) are making informed decisions regarding the return of sport and physical activity. These decisions occur on a daily/weekly basis and as such the sporting landscape currently looks like this:

At present - MCS sport for Term 2 has been cancelled. Future Sports meetings will determine what MCS Sport will look like in Term 3 (for Winter and Spring seasons). I will publish this information when it becomes available.

At present - NSW CCC and higher pathways have been cancelled for Term 2, in conjunction with the School Sport Unit from the Department of Education (SSU) and School Sport Australia (SSA) - please note SSA has cancelled all their championships for 2020.

For the latest information on CSNSW Sport, please refer to their website which we are constantly updating. We are very keen for sports to go ahead where possible and when it is safe to do so for our students, parents, staff and other stakeholders.

I encourage all students of the College to start/continue their individual training in preparation for the return of all or some forms of sport and physical activity.

If you require drills or training programs or advice to improve your individual skills, please make contact to receive resources.

If you have questions regarding College Sport in Term 2 or Term 3, please do not hesitate to contact me at the College.

I look forward to transitioning the College back into all forms of College Sport in the near future so that the boys can demonstrate their talent, skills and abilities in the sports they love.

House Cup

With limited sport and other co-curricular events taking place, House Points have been topped up by staff allocating daily merits from the online learning activities the boys have been engaged in over the past few weeks.

Yours in Sport,

Mr Jamie Cook
