Safe Plate Day- Sat Aug. 10th

Safe Plate Day

Dear Students, Parents & Guardians,

On Saturday, August 10th, Beaumaris Secondary College Crime Prevention Leaders alongside Moorabbin Police, Neighbourhood Watch and the Blue-Ribbon Foundation will be hosting a Safe Plate Day to raise awareness for bike and car security.

The Crime Prevention Team have recognised that many students ride their bikes to school. Our goal is to promote the safety and security of students' bikes with all money raised on the day going towards funding the school bike shed.

On the day, we will be fitting anti-theft number plate screws for a gold coin donation and offering free engraving of bikes. Anyone wanting to have their bike engraved will need to bring their driver’s licence or a parent/guardian’s driver’s licence. Car owners can book in to have the anti-theft number screw plates installed using the 'Safe Plate Day' link on Compass. The link will be available on Tuesday, July 23rd. Community members can book in by contacting the school office on 8569 9200.

The day will run from 9 am -12 pm and will include a sausage sizzle, entertainment by the Victoria Police Pipe Band and Beaumaris Secondary College music students, speedball throwing competition and raffle.

If you are interested in making a donation to our raffle or helping out on the day, please contact Deb Kirk (Assistant Principal at Beaumaris Secondary College) at kirk.deborah.a@edumail.vic.gov.au

We look forward to seeing you all on the day.
