Foundation Unit

News

Over the last few weeks, students in Foundation have been investigating 2D shapes. Last week we identified and described features of triangles. We looked at how triangles are used in man- made constructions liked bridges due to their strength. Students in JU2 made triangles and rectangles to compare their strength while JU1 designed a bridge on paper that they wanted to make using icy pole sticks and playdoh. The designs indicated a good understanding of what triangles look like and how they are used in the ‘real world’.
