Thursday Activities

We had our first Thursday Activities program this week, which was a great success! The activities for this rotation are; Cooking – (this week we made pumpkin soup), Woodwork, Gardening, Sketching with pastels, Craft – (God’s Eyes and Quilling).

  • The first 4 weeks of activities will run until Thursday 20th June, with the last 2 sessions on weeks 1 & 2 of Term 3.
  • We need at least 3 extra adults to help us run these activities effectively.

Please let your child’s teacher know if you are available to help with these activities and make sure the office has a copy of your current Working With Children Check.

Creative Cubbies

The construction of many amazing cubby designs are well under way on the oval, with students working creatively and cooperatively in groups to share ideas.

Here are some of the cubbies under construction at the moment.

Guinea Pigs

Thank you to all of the families who offered to take Nibbles and Custard for the holidays - we now have places for them.

Gumboot racks

The building of the new gum boot racks has started. Thank you to the families who have donated wood for this project. We still need many more broom or garden tool type wooden handles, to complete the racks.

Maths Challenge - Week 5

Money!!!

I have $4.70 to spend at the shops. What can I buy?

Collect a catalogue from your local shop (or newspaper) and make a collage of the different items I could afford. Remember to keep the price tag attached to the picture!

Add your items up and calculate the change from $200

Most outstanding collage will receive an award at assembly!

Extra Challenge

Threatened Species Children's Art Competition

It has been opened up to Victoria for the first time this year and looks like a fabulous opportunity for the kids to integrate art with literacy and science. Entries open next week and close 3 Aug.
