Weekend Wrap-Up

Friday evening - saw students head down to Brunswick to participate in Slot Car Racing. All students took part and enjoyed themselves immensely. Henry Pratley was the highest scorer for the night.  Upon returning to the College, students played some hilarious card games before heading off to bed.

Saturday - everyone headed off to Mandurah for some shopping.  First stop was at the Forum, before stopping at the foreshore for a picnic lunch in the delightful sunshine. After lunch they did some Op shopping before heading home, via the Thrombolites at Lake Clifton.

Tea was a delicious chicken parmi, then back on the bus to Time Zone in Bunbury. Everyone had a go at laser-tag and various arcade games before returning to the College.

Sunday - Sally headed towards Collie with a group for students to visit the Black Diamond Lake and Potters Gorge. They then walked the Sika Trail over to Wellington Dam wall to appreciate the amazing mural. Back in the car to visit Honeymoon Pool for a look and a bite to eat before returning to the College.

The Week

Monday saw the last two remaining netball teams face off against each other for a spot in the Grand Final.

The hockey players went to Collie to watch the grand final and attend the presentations. Congratulations to Kandra Pense for being named Intermediate Runner-Up Fairest and Best. Great job.

Tuesday saw the netball umpiring course continue in Harvey and several students taking the opportunity to go to the town gym.

Wednesday evening saw Boys’ basketball training kick off in anticipation of the local competition starting early next term. The night's sport was indoor soccer with the majority being Year 12 students participating for one of the last times. Lots of laughs were had with a crowd of onlookers watching and enjoying the game.

What's the go next week?

Next week will see some of the Year 12 students depart the College on Wednesday, after the student dinner was brought forward to Tuesday night as a result of the public holiday declared for Thursday.

Some changes needed to happen for this to take place and I would advise all parents and guardians to make sure they are up to date with the forced changes to our programs.

A reminder to our Year 12 Boarding students to please do the right things in the remaining days here onsite.  The behaviour you display over this time is how you will probably be remembered at the College. We want to remember students for all the right and not the wrong reasons.

Just a note for the Year 12 Boarders departing over the next few weeks that your final REACH leave entry will be for an 'end of term' leave, with a returning date of 11th November @1.00pm.

The College will have the Residence open for next Thursday, even though it is a public holiday. It will be a more relaxed day like a Saturday, breakfast will be from 8.00am and dinner will commence at 5.00pm.  This is to fit in with staff rosters in the kitchen.
