On Wednesday the Year 12s attended the RAC bstreetsmart road safety event held at the RAC Arena in Perth. Students were treated to a very confronting re-enactment performed by currently active professional staff that deal with trauma every day. Guest speakers and insights were given by a range of emergency service personnel and doctors.

Julian Pace from the Happiness Co  also spoke about mental health and the state of mind when making decisions. Julian’s message is about proactive preventative measures about how you feel and how that determines making the right choices.

The message I walked away with was delivered by a survivor of road trauma who said, “When you’re the driver, drive like someone else’s life depends on it’.

Look after yourself, look after your mates and be safe.
