Respectful Relationships Initiative

This term, as a whole school, we have been learning about ‘Help Seeking’ as part of our Respectful Relationships program. As part of this well-being program, every day we have been doing an emotion check-in.

Here are some of the activities that each level has been doing:

Foundation: They have been learning how to express emotions when interacting with other people and discussing the importance of asking for help if needed.

Year 1/2: Students in 1/2 have been learning how to mange stress in the best ways possible. They have also been learning about the importance of asking for help when the problem is too big to solve alone.

Year 3/4: They have been learning to identify communication skills that enhance peer support and help seeking. They have also been learning to identify help-seeking strategies.

Year 5/6: The 5/6 students have explored the value of trust and looked at different people that they could ask for help when needed. They looked closely at what situations it would be necessary to seek help.

P.S. Don’t forget to come and look at our wonderful Respectful Relationships wall in the corridor near the stage door! Here you can see the amazing work that has been happening in each level.
