Congratulations to Phoenix for fitting into her new school so fast! Phoenix loves to share her prior knowledge about reading, writing and maths with her peers. Her bubbly personality has allowed her to make friends quickly. Welcome to Scoresby Primary School, Phoenix. I’m looking forward to spending the rest of the year with you in my class.

This award goes to Arian for the hard work he has put into his handwriting. Arian has been slowing down and correctly writing his letters on the dotted thirds. Hard work pays off Arian, keep it up! I am very impressed with your efforts this term.

This award goes to Sarah for being an excellent friend to everyone in her class. This week, during maths, Sarah could see a friend who needed some support and while the teacher was busy, she took it upon herself to help him with his problem. Thank you Sarah for being a kind, helpful classmate. We love having you in our grade.

This award goes to Savannah for always showing our Scoresby HEART values. She contributes with enthusiasm during wellbeing lessons and role play activities. Savannah shows an understanding of how to manage challenging situations and can explain how to use help-seeking. Well done Savannah!

This award goes to Leila for showing the HEART Value of ‘Excellence’ in Reading. It is wonderful to see her love of reading grow and willingness to try new a new series by a new author. She writes thoughtful responses to texts she reads and should be commended on this great attitude towards her learning. Keep it up Leila!

This award is presented to Eliza for her efforts in achieving her reading goal. Eliza has been working hard to learn how to retell the important parts of a story. She has been using the story mountain strategy to remind her which information she needs to share. Well done Eliza. Keep up the good work.

This award goes to Jake for putting so much effort and creativity into his arcade game design in Integrated Studies this week. He started to design his basketball game and I can’t wait to see the finished product. Jake should be very proud of his work!

This award goes to Cooper for his sportsmanship and teamwork during Summer Sports Day! Not only did he support and encourage his own teammates but also in the way he interacted and supported the other schools. Great to see the HEART values in practice Cooper!

This award goes to Mia for her outstanding achievements in mathematics. Mia has applied herself to every lesson this week, evident through her pattern recognition of triangular numbers, explanations and extension tasks. Amazing efforts Mia, keep up the wonderful work!

Thea P. - Performing Arts

This award goes to Thea for her excellent participation in class. Thea played the notes of the Happy C song correctly and with enthusiasm. She was also very good at recording chord changes in Garage Band. Well done Thea. 

Summer E. - Physical Education

This award goes to Summer for her outstanding effort during the Beep Test. Before beginning the Beep Test, Summer shared strategies that she had been working on to run for as long as possible. She demonstrated a huge improvement in her fitness and beat her own Beep Test score by a huge 2 and a half levels! Wonderful work Summer!
