Co-curricular

Season’s Greetings

As we come to the close of Term 4 and look forward to a relaxing and holy Christmas period, I would like to thank all the staff, parents/carers and most importantly, the boys who actively and enthusiastically took part in the Co-curricular program. Each and every one of you have contributed significantly to the fabric of the College and have done much to profile the College in a positive light.

It is my prayer that you find some time to relax and unwind and spend quality time together, preferably outdoors and away from devices and screens. I look forward to seeing the boys return in Term 1 2023, refreshed, fitter, stronger and eager to get involved in order to create positive memories for the future.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Basketball Camps

As many of our Basketball Fraternity would be aware, Mr Marvin Bayer has taken on the dual role of Basketball Skills Development Officer and First V Coach. Marvin has previously worked with our younger boys in terms of developing their skills when he was working with the West Sydney Wolves.

Below you will find details relating to some Basketball camps that Marvin is running during the upcoming holidays. While these are not College endorsed activities, some of our Basketball students may wish to take up the opportunity to sharpen their skills over the break.

2023 Performing Arts Production - No one likes Shakespeare, right?

The 2023 Performing Arts Production is a modern comedy that might just change your mind.

Young Will Shakespeare is out of ideas, luck, and love… his new play Romeo and Ethel the Pirate’s Daughter isn’t exactly inspiring anyone, including him. The play looks like it will remain unfinished …until he meets his muse, Viola, a woman of wealth and talent who wishes to break with tradition and perform on stage at a time when only men were allowed to act.

This stage adaptation of the 1998 film Shakespeare in Love is a comedy about writer’s block, mistaken identity and of course, love.

The rights to this play are not widely available in Australia so we have been very lucky to secure them.

Shakespeare in Love auditions will take place in Weeks 1 and 2 of Term 1. I will email audition packs to those who nominated the production as their Co-curricular over the holidays. If you didn’t nominate and still wish to audition, please let me know.

Dates for the shows are 31 May, 1 June, and 3 June. Tickets will go on sale mid Term 1.
