From the Acting Principal

It was wonderful to welcome happy students back on Tuesday. What a delight it was to watch them reconnect with their friends and with staff.

We have certainly hit the ground running with students actively engaged and enjoying their classes. Our co-curricular program is full and vibrant this term with cricket, rowing, netball and racquet sports already underway and basketball start next week. Our Year 9s complete the final leg of the Micah Experience next week, with five full days hiking and mountain biking the new Grampians Peak Trail. I look forward to meeting them all in Halls Gap when they return next Friday.

Our Winter Sports Assembly was held on Wednesday with 150 students recognised in 11 different sports. This was also a special opportunity to thank Mr Leigh Alexander for his 16 years of devoted service to our sporting program as the Director Of Sport.  He is stepping down from this role at the end of the year but will still be teaching at College and active across several sports.

Year 12s have had a full week of trial examinations under true examination conditions. Our staff are leaving no stone unturned to ensure our Year 12s are fully prepared for the upcoming VCE examination period.

Our assembly on Monday highlighted the importance of working together, minimising disruptions, and setting goals for the term. Students were challenged to keep kindness and our College values of respect, optimism, resilience, gratitude and compassion front and centre in all their actions and decision making. Students remain our number one priority and our teaching staff are here to assist and guide them all the way.

Thank you to all parents for your support in ensuring your children returned looking their very best and taking pride in their uniform. I have been exceptionally proud of our student body this week.
