From the Principal

Welcome back to Term 2, we hope everyone had a relaxing break.  We are already in the month of May and we have plenty of events happening this term.

We farewell Naoko Nishikawa who was successful in gaining a position at Gardenvale Primary School. Naoko’s last day at PPS is tomorrow.  We are currently recruiting to fill this position.

We thank Naoko for her work at Parkdale PS and wish her all the very best.

Cross Country Team

Congratulations to the PPS cross country team who competed at Karkarook Park last Friday.

The PPS team placed first overall which is an outstanding result. Good luck to the students who go onto the next round on the 30th May. Once again, our students demonstrated great team spirit and behaviour.  Thank you to Mr A and the staff that assisted with training the children.

Aerobics

Congratulations to our Aerobics teams who competed at Rowville on Sunday.  The Rockin Robics placed 5th and the Starbursts placed 1st.  Both teams will compete at the regional finals towards the end of this term. Thank you to Miss Hibberd and Miss Byrne for training the girls.

Mothers’ Day/Special Person

Tomorrow, Friday 12th May, PPS will be holding a Mothers’ Day stall and breakfast.  Children can bring up to $7 to purchase a gift. Children also need to bring along a bag to carry their gift home safely.  The classrooms will be open from 8:15am to 9:00am.  If you ordered a bakery item please collect this from the gym, then make your way to your child/children’s classroom.

We wish all the mums and special mother figures a very Happy Mothers’ Day on Sunday.
