Middle Team

Wakakirri performance

Dear Parents and Carers,

I’m afraid it’s not good news- our participation in Wakakirri 2021 has unfortunately had to be cancelled. Current restrictions (we are required to keep mixing of classes and year levels to an absolute minimum), the late return to onsite learning,  and the tight timing of getting our video entry organised and filmed are such that we have had to withdraw. Try as we might, it is simply not possible.

We understand that this is very upsetting for all of those students who have put in so much hard work this year, we are terribly disappointed as well. However, we are planning to perform and film a version of this years’ Wakakirri outside on the basketball courts before the end of the year. This is especially important for our grade six students. Parents will not be able to view the performance live, but it will be filmed and distributed for all families to view at home.

If you would like a copy of the performance, please bring a USB labelled with your child’s name and grade to the office, and we will arrange this for you.

Further details regarding our school filming day will be released in the coming weeks.

Thank you again for your patience and support throughout what has been a turbulent year for Wakakirri. We’re hoping for better luck in 2022!

Many thanks,

Mrs Emery, Miss Lord and Miss Quarrier

Olympics day – Friday 26th November

My apologies for having to cancel the Olympics Day. We are rescheduling so all classes are back onsite so please make sure your colours are ready to go for Friday 26th November. Hopefully we don’t have any more classes go into remote learning but if we do we will still hold the following days and we will award the medals to that level when all classes are back. Otherwise we are going to run out of days. Fingers crossed we have no more interruptions this term!!!
