Water Awareness Program

Thank you to our fabulous students, amazing staff, exceptional parents and dedicated qualified instructors for contributing to a very successful Water Awareness Program. All adults involved in the program continually commented about the improvement that was evident throughout each day. An overwhelming number of students also approached me and simply said ‘thank you’ for organising the swimming. What thoughtful students we have at St Joseph’s.

As we are unable to host our annual ‘Parent Helper Morning Tea’, I’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge ‘THANK YOU’ to our extremely supportive parents, who even in another COVID year made themselves available to help with any sporting opportunity in 2021. You are an integral link in ensuring the success of all of our sporting opportunities at St Joseph’s. I feel truly blessed to be part of such a caring and generous school community. Thank you parents.

2021 Achievements

Below is a summary of individual sporting achievements in 2021. Although COVID did limit many opportunities, our students were still able to shine in their chosen sports. Special mention to Mary Arandale, who represented the Armidale Diocese in four different sports (swimming, soccer, touch football and cross country). I believe Mary is the only student in the Armidale Diocese to achieve this in 2021. Well done Mary. Also, special mention to Mary and Fletcher Barratt, who qualified to represent Polding at the NSWPSSA Cross Country, but were unable to attend due to the event becoming cancelled.
