This week, the students have considered their views and beliefs on a range of topics and have practised trying to persuade others to support their viewpoint, using the learned persuasive strategies. Next week, the students will choose their favourite topic and write a persuasive report. In the photos here, students can be seen placing their names in the For or Against column based on their beliefs about various issues and topics.

3/4D - Mr Mitch

This week, the student’s explored the persuasive techniques of ethos, pathos, logos and Kairos. For this task, they chose one of the techniques to increase the persuasive power of their marketing campaign. Here are some examples from Gus N. and Amelia B.

3/4E - Miss Margarita

3/4E have been working on location and direction- we have learnt about maps, coordinate systems, compasses, keys, scales and utilising all these things to give accurate directions. This week, students paired up to make their own school treasure map and wrote directions to their treasure. They then swapped with another group who followed the directions. It was so much fun to see where the directions led us!
