Message from the Principal Team

Principals' Update

We cannot believe how quickly this term has flown. We are in Week 10 already and can feel the end of year fast approaching. This week has seen our school transition sessions, 3/4 Camp and 5/6 Big Day Out on Thursday and Friday. The school has worked very hard to ensure that these end of year experiences were not missed again this year and we would like to thank all those involved in organising them.

We are looking forward to celebrating the Year 6 Graduation on Monday 13th. There will be a school Graduation Assembly at 9.15am and the full Graduation Evening beginning at 5pm. It will be a very special day for the Year 6 students and we wish them all the best in secondary school.

Foundation children will venture off to the Melbourne Zoo on Tuesday 14th. It will be wonderful for them to experience their first big excursion this year.

We are all excited that we will be able to film the children performing Matilda. As we cannot put on the full production, the children will break into their individual scenes and this will be filmed on Thursday 16th. They will have a dress rehearsal on Wednesday.

Don’t forget that school finishes on Friday 17th at 1.30pm after our final assembly.

Trash and Treasure

We have had an amazing response to our “Trash and Treasure” fundraiser. Well done to our SRC for raising an outstanding $722 for the local organisation HoMie - which supports young people affected by homelessness or hardship.

Djirra Food Collection

We also had a wonderful response to our food collection on behalf of the Djirra Foundation. Thirteen very full boxes were delivered to the foundation by Kim yesterday.  Thank you to all who donated.

Whole School Transition

There was great excitement on Tuesday when the children met their new classes and teachers on Tuesday. Each class played Friends Bingo to find out as much as they could about their new classmates. They will get to spend more time with their new class and teacher on Monday 13th December.

Year 3/4 Camp

The playground was buzzing with excitement as the Year 3/4 children gathered before heading to their camp on Wednesday 8th. They were very excited about it and we hope that they have a wonderful time.  We look forward to hearing all about it on their return.

IMP Assembly & Soiree

On Friday 26th November, the whole school was treated to a special musical performance by students of the CNPS Instrumental Music Program Groups. Their families gathered to listen to them perform at the Summer Musical Soirée. The music tutors, in their bright new T-shirts, were very pleased to be able to share their music making. It was a credit to the students’ enthusiasm and commitment that each School Music Group had something to share. Many thanks to the wonderful team of music tutors! For all who participated, it was a triumph!

Thanking you all for your continued support,

Eoghan O’Muirgheasa, Erin Brown & Jane Bilby
