End of Year Envelopes
Next Thursday, 25 November is the due date for the return of forms which are coming home in a large yellow envelope with your child today.
It greatly assists our preparation for 2022, if we have these forms back promptly. Thank you.
Helpers Breakfast
We will be holding a breakfast in the church café from 8.15am to 9.00am tomorrow (Friday 26 Nov) to acknowledge the work of volunteers in the school.
It's not too late to join us. All welcome!
Welcome Party 2022
It's time to begin thinking about our Welcome Party for 2022! This event is run each year by a team of generous parents, and we require more people to join the team. If you would like to help out in delivering a great event for our school community, please send me an email (here).

Christmas Hampers
Our elves have been very busy going class to class, and the food, (new) toys and (new) books table is steadily growing.
For those who haven't heard, Good Shepherd are supporting Lutheran Community Care in collecting items for their Christmas hamper boxes.
Vacation Care
Programs are available for the upcoming School Holidays. Please note that bookings must be made on paper forms and not via the Fully Booked app.
LLL School Banking
Please note that next Thursday will be the last opportunity for LLL banking until we resume next year.
Visit the Mortlock Library!
This year the magic of Christmas comes to the Mortlock, one of the most beautiful libraries in the world.
There is something for everyone to see and discover, from the largest indoor Christmas tree in Adelaide, storytelling sessions under the tree, to fascinating and fun displays of all things Christmas from the State Library’s collections.
Hear the sounds of Christmas including carols, and songs by Patsy Biscoe, Kamahl and Jimmy Barnes. There are also beautiful books and toys from our Children’s Literature Research Collection on display.
Building on the success of last year, the State Library together with SA Power Networks are excited to bring some Christmas cheer and magic by lighting up the tree in the majestic Mortlock.
Growing Faith at Home
Happy New Year! You might think that this is a little early, but the church year runs a little differently to the calendar year. This Sunday marks the beginning of the church year, starting with the season of Advent. A time to look forward to the birth of Jesus and to the time when Jesus will return. This week’s GFH resource goes into more detail. The Service key suggests making some Christmas decorations to perhaps give to friends or neighbours. (I’ve seen some great examples already decorating some of the school corridors!) Image sharing this creativity with others!
The latest Grow Together newsletter will accompany this edition of WINGS. It offers some more ideas to explore with your family. You might like to try out the ‘Peace for Advent’ idea on the back page! There are also some great suggestions for families with graduating students to consider as they mark this special milestone in their lives.
I am also including some other Pre-Christmas/ Advent ideas with the ‘Christmas Family Faith Trail’. There are activities for pre-school and primary children as well as people of all ages! Check out the attachment or if you prefer a hard copy, just ask! There are some already printed and available in the front office!
Happy Advent everyone!

Little Lambs Playgroup
Our last Little Lambs gathering for the year will be tomorrow (Friday 26 November). We will be celebrating Part Two of Encountering Jesus at Christmas on the school oval. Come along and join in a morning of activities, fun and action songs! Please bring weather appropriate clothes as well as snacks and a cuppa. Once again, access will be through the oval entrance gates at the end of the car park. Please note that we will be starting at 9am. Members of our team will be setting up a little later than usual as they are attending the school’s Volunteers Breakfast. (They all volunteer at our school too!)
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of the wonderful ladies on the team; Beth, Andrea, Candita, Lucy and Nell. They have worked together to make beautiful, creative and fun experiences for our little ones come to life. We have been blessed by them. God bless each one of you ladies!
