All of the primary staff want to thank the whole community for your help and support throughout the year. Personally, I have had a brilliant first year here at BCS and can't wait to be a part of it again in 2020.
I wish all of our school community a very happy, healthy and safe Christmas and New Year.

Infants Learning
Kindergarten 2019
The year is coming to a close and boy have all the Kindergarten Children come a long way.
They have worked so hard and learnt so much, they should be so proud of their achievements!
They are unbelievable readers and writers and fantastic mathematicians. They are experts on living things, the weather, how things move and the reasons why thing are made from different materials. Kindergarten know about the past and the differences to the present, they have studied the different types of celebrations around the world and have learnt about their own and the families of others. They can jump higher, run faster, kick catch and throw a ball and have dabbled a little in gymnastics.
Hard to believe this has all been squeezed into one year!
They have been an amazingly vibrant, caring, tolerant, enthusiastic, inquisitive class.
We look forward to our last couple of weeks together before a big rest in the holidays.
Merry Christmas from Kindergarten and Merry Christmas to them and their families from me.
Mrs Proudford l Assistant Principal - Infants
Year 1 2019
Year 1 has had a wonderful last few weeks of term getting ready for Year 2.
In Literacy we have been focusing on writing information texts. Looking at the appearance, habitats and eating habits of different animals. We have also been working on drawing and labelling pictures of the animals to help learn new vocabulary to use in our writing.
In Mathematics we have been using digital and analogue clocks to show and tell the time. Most have learned to tell the hour and half hour and some are also telling the quarter hours.
Year 1 has also loved getting into the Christmas spirit, we have been reading lots of Christmas stories, sharing Christmas jokes and doing Christmas craft. We have been learning how to carefully use sharp needles as we design, cut and sew together gingerbread men including buttons.
Our Wonderful Year Ones would like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a safe holidays.
