Library News
Last week in the Primary School Library we had a visit from FYI Education. The “Top Secret” inflatable classroom was set up in the library for 3 days, and each primary class came in for an enlightening session with secret agent, Richard and his secret agent dog, Charlie. His presentations were engaging and informative, covering topics such as drug and health education, medicine safety, cyber safety, and how to be a good friend. Students were fully absorbed during each session, and there was a lot of discussion after them too.
In the Senior School, we would like to remind students that lap top use in the library is for study purposes only. We supply board games and cards for the students at recess and lunch, and these are the only games we want to see being played.
Congratulations to the winners of the ‘Books that changed the world’ competition. The student winner was Andy Ngu from Year 8, and there were four joint winners from the staff: Mrs Stephanie La Forgia, Mrs Mary Surman, Mrs Kathleen Johnson, and Mrs Loana Liew. There were many interesting selections, and thanks to all who participated. Look out for the next competition in Term 3!
