Cristina and Elise enjoy their tasty treats!

The Children of the ELC go on Excursion!

Purple room have been developing peer interaction and social skills with social play scenarios. Past weeks have seen a Chinese Restaurant and then a Bakery in the Language and Literacy focus room. We were very fortunate to be able to take a group of children to visit Muratti Cakes & Gateaux. Cristina Parris (from the yellow room) joined the group to walk to the patisserie and be welcomed by her father Michael, one of the owners. The children were able to see behind the scenes of how the whole process of supplying exquisite food works.

The group was also extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to have morning tea “alfresco”. A delicious selection of individual cakes was supplied, much to the delight of children and adults. Each child was also given a cookie to take home.

Thank you so much to Michael and everyone at Muratti for the interesting hands-on experience that you offered our children.

If you haven’t tried Muratti cakes and savouries, 20 children from Blackfriars ELC can thoroughly recommend them.
