From the Deputy Principal,

Secondary

There were lots of laughs last week as Mr Ruggiero helped judge the Year 8 Comedy Cup

From the Deputy Principal, Secondary

Welcome to Trinity Term. The mystery of the Trinity captures the essence of relationships. God as three persons in one, interacting with all of creation. We are relational beings. We begin our God-given life as an expression of the love between two human beings and one day we will return to our loving God. In between this time, we meet countless people and develop a multitude of diverse relationships. When you reflect on your life you discover the greatest joy is from those relationships in which you can be who you truly are and where you know you are deeply loved. Over the past two days a number of our staff and two of our parents have participated in a system based professional development enquiry discussing the world-wide endemic problem of Pornography. At the core of the porn problem is a destruction in relationships. As a school we will be examining strategies for moving forward as a school community to address this global issue within our own context. Parental involvement will be critical in the success of the program and more information will be disseminated soon.

Examinations

Our Stage 1 and 2 examinations will occur from the 18 – 21 June 2018 (Week 8). Please speak to your son about his examinations. An exam timetable will be issued shortly and it is imperative that he organises his time to make a concerted effort to actively study for his exams. This process needs to begin now and is complemented by effective time management, homework completion, and school based learning.

Year 12 Formal

The Year 12 Formal will be held at Donato Reception Centre, Kilkenny on Friday 22 June 2018.

During the holiday break, important information was emailed to your son regarding this event and a direqt message was sent to all parents/guardians asking them to follow up with their son to ensure they have received this information.

All Year 12 students are encouraged to attend this event and share in this memorable night with their peers.

For your information, the letter that was emailed to your son is attached below.

A reminder that we are now in winter uniform. Please support the school by ensuring your son has the correct uniform and is groomed appropriately.
