Media 3/4 Incursion

Old Girtonian Andrew Ayres visited our 3 /4 Media class to give us a master class on film production and software. Andrew has recently graduated from SAE Institute with a bachelor in Film and Television, so his expertise was extremely beneficial for our budding film technicians.

Each student was assigned a specific task to make a trailer for Picnic at Hanging Rock. We had help from the 3/ 4 Drama students, who lent their voices to do the voiceovers featured in the trailer. The Drama students will be using the trailer for their Unit 3 Devised Drama Ensemble.

As a printmaker, I was assigned the task of creating text over-lay and images of news reports to add to the film. The experience was extremely helpful for the upcoming year. Andrew was thorough and enthusiastic and it is evident that all the students benefited from his knowledge and advice.
