Astra App and Parent Information Session
To support the implementation of Continuous Reporting, a new Astra School App has been developed and instructions on downloading the App appear in this edition of eLink.
There will also be an Astra Information Session for parents that will include guidance on using the new App and details of the information session are in this edition of eLink.
With the implementation of Continuous Reporting, you will receive an Astra notification each time a relevant teacher posts feedback on Astra, which can be viewed via the App by selecting the notification or selecting ‘Student Info’, then ‘Grades’. You can then select the relevant subject.
You can also log in to Astra at any time, and if feedback has been posted since you last logged in, you will receive a notification on the Astra log in page, which you can click on to go directly to the feedback.
The School has set the relevant notifications for parents and students. However, you can also alter the notifications that you chose to receive via ‘settings’.

You are warmly invited to attend an information evening to introduce you to the basic features of Astra, the School’s digital Learning Management System, which the students and teachers use daily.
The session will also include an overview of the new School Astra App.
The session will cover basics such as:
- Accessing student timetables
- Viewing student due work
- Viewing student grades by subject
- Effort and dedication reports
- How to send a student absence notification
- How to use the new School Astra App
