Back to School

26 June - Prep, Years 1 and 2
We are very excited to soon be welcoming students in the above grades back to school. Some things will be a little different and in some cases it may be an improvement, but all is done with the well being of our SMPPS Community at heart.
For everyone's safety and health it is crucial we all adhere to the Victorian Government's guidelines:
- The school grounds (this includes the bike shed) are restricted to students and staff. This means at drop-off parents will say good-bye to students at their allocated gate, and at pick-up times teachers will escort their class to the allocated pick-up gate. Please maintain physical distancing if waiting at the gate.
- Punctuality is key, but if you are late and need a pass come to the office reception, but only the student is permitted in and will be given a late pass and then go on to class.
- Any student who arrives at school prior to 8:45 am and who remains at school after 3:45 pm will be taken to the TheirCare Program.
- Students are to bring their own water bottle clearly marked with their name and only for their use.
- Students are not to bring any toys, balls, or games to school.
- If you wish to collect your child early from school please phone prior and they will be waiting for you in the office reception area.
- Please keep your child at home if they have any flu / cold symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, sore throat or a runny nose.
Return of loaned devices
The office will contact the parents of students returning on the 26 May to arrange a suitable time (either drop off or pick up) for parents to return devices.
Students not returning until the 9th June can keep their devices until they return to school.
