The English Intervention students in action!

Our amazing students from our English Intervention classes are continuing to improve their reading during their remote learning.

Aside from developing their increasing knowledge on their phonemic awareness, our students have been demonstrating their Reading Fluency.  Their ability to use appropriate intonation, sound and word knowledge, and their proper phrasing has also been our learning focus in our English Intervention classes.

Well done to our English Intervention students, Ms. Nagorcka, Ms. Tran and Ms. Garcia are all proud of you!

Reading - Sunshine Online

Your child will bring a book which they can read 'independently', it might look like the book is too easy but the teacher has carefully chosen it so your child can read it and feel successful.

There are 2 parts to being able to read successfully. Both of these need to be practiced together:

- Can your child read the words on the page and read them smoothly?

- Does your child understand what they are reading? Can they talk about it with you?
