Upcoming events for Senior School Students

GAT and preparation

On Wednesday 13th June all students undertaking a Unit 3/4 VCE or scored VET subject will be sitting the General Achievement Test (GAT).  This will take place at Northcote High School, beginning at 10am until 1.15pm.

In the coming weeks we will be providing some activities to prepare students for this test.

GAT assemblies

• Year 11- Tuesday 8th May- P5 Assembly – compulsory for all Year 11s that are undertaking a Unit 3/4 subject. Please note this is when the students normally have a study period.
• Year 12- Tuesday 15th May- P3 Assembly – compulsory for all Year 12 students that are undertaking a Unit 3/4 subject.

NB: VCAL students that are undertaking a Scored Unit 3/ 4 subject (ie VET 3/4 Sport and rec) are required to complete the GAT. If you are unsure then please contact Ms Green in the Senior School office.

In addition to this we have partnered with Connect Education to offer a GAT preparation session for all students that are sitting the GAT on Tuesday 5th June, 4.00 – 5.30.

Year 11 RMIT experience

All Year 11s are required to attend an excursion on Tuesday 26th June to RMIT. Student will investigate Career pathways and study skills. More information will be forthcoming.

Winter solstice- Senior Year celebrations

Year 11 and 12 Leaders are planning this event for the evening of Thursday 28th June (second last day of Term 3). More information will be given closer to the time. Mark the date in your calendar.
