What a privilege it was to experience the Harmony Day celebrations at Evans High. It was great to see so many students working together throughout the day. The cultural performances were outstanding and so was the support from the audience. The diversity displayed through the cultural dress fashion parade and the delicious foods were spectacular. I couldn't help but share my experiences from the day with friends and family.

It was really exciting to have welcomed parents and families onsite at Evans in the last week of school for our Year 7 Meet the Teacher Evening on Tuesday as well as the Year 12 Music Performance evening on Wednesday. It was a lovely way to finish the term before the Easter holidays.

In term two, we will be starting a Parent and Friends group at Evans. Being involved in this group is a great way of showing your child that you value their education. You will get the opportunity to meet our committed teachers, hear more about school activities and policy, form friendships with other parents and carers and feel like part of the school community.

I hope you can join us.
