COVID-19 Update

Check in Tas App and Parents/Carers in Classrooms

From May 1, 2021 it is mandatory for visitors to College events to ‘check in’ using the Check in Tas app and the College specific QR code.

This Government requirement applies where a visitor is 16 years old or over and is going to spend 15 minutes or more at a College event such as a concert, assembly or parent information evening.

Visitors to the College are still required to sign in at the Student Services Office if attending the College for longer than 15 minutes, other than for a College event.

Parents and carers dropping off or collecting students are excluded from sign in requirements (if attending the College for less than 15 minutes) and are now permitted into classrooms for morning drop off.  We ask that parents spend only a short time in their child’s classroom.  Please have a quick look at your child’s work and say goodbye.  If you have any matters to discuss with your child’s teacher please send the teacher an email to arrange for a separate meeting or phone conversation. Morning drop-off is not the appropriate time for discussions with your child’s teacher.  Please ensure that social distancing with other adults is maintained in the classroom and please do not enter the College if you have flu-like symptoms.

For those visitors that do not have a phone or the Check in Tas app, the College will provide an electronic means of accessing the Check in Tas app when you arrive at the College.

Please click here for the Tasmanian Government COVID-19 website for information on how to download the Check in Tas app.
