K-6 Sport
Diocesan Winter Trials
Congratulations to Makayde Goldman, who was selected in the Polding Girls Soccer team. Makayde will now go to the PSSA State Titles in Sydney later in the term.
Diocesan Cross Country
Good luck to the students travelling to Barraba on Friday to run in the Diocesan Cross Country. Travel is by private transport and it is up to parents to get their own child to the event - there is no bus going. All students must be in Barraba by 9:30am and report to Mrs Moore to have their names marked off. The first race will start at approximately 10:45am (8/9yrs) after students walk the course. A canteen will be operating on the day and the day should conclude around 2:30pm. The Carnival will be held at the Barraba Sports Ground (Rugby grounds), 175 Trevallyn Road Barraba. Bus and car parking is available. Parents are permitted to walk the course with their children, but once the events commence they are to remain in the spectator area. Competitors are to run in their school sports uniform. No competitors will be allowed to run in a Diocesan or Polding uniform. Every adult attending the trials will be expected to sign in using the QR code available when registering their child with the convener on the day. During the trials, spectators are asked to maintain social distancing (1.5 metres) from students and fellow spectators.
Primary Sport
The Primary will start Athletics rotations this week. The Athletics Carnival and Field Event finals will be held later in the term.
Kindergarten King Fit
As part of their sports program in Term 2, children in Kindergarten will continue sessions with Nick King this Friday. At the centre they have been working on strength, balance and locomotion activities. Cost is $3.00 each week. Please pay your child’s classroom teacher on a weekly basis. They have 2 more weeks left. Students will be transported by bus to and from the centre.
Infants' Cross Country
The annual Infants' Cross Country will be held on Friday, 21 May, on the back oval starting at 12:20pm. Parents, Grandparents, Caregivers and friends are more than welcome to come and watch, but will need to sign in using the schools QR Code. Kindergarten will run one lap of the back oval while Year 1 will complete 2 laps and Year 2 will run 3 laps.

Secondary Sport
School Sport
Students will participate in one of the following winter sports this term: rugby league, soccer, netball, league tag, basketball, tennis ($2.00). They will have the option to change sports if they wish for weeks 6 – 10.
Diocesan Cross Country and Tennis
Congratulations to the following students who qualified for NSWCCC Cross Country after their performances at Diocesan Cross country in Gunnedah in week 1:
Isaac Whan (2nd), Griffin Sanderson (4th), Toby Adams (3rd), Hunter Ribeiro (6th), Campbell Walsh (2nd), Jock Hollis (3rd), Sam Hilton (5th), Nick Tindall (6th), April Neppl (4th), Isabella Thompson (3rd).
Tennis results: Griffin Sanderson and Lleyton Villamor won their first match and then were defeated in the second round. Jack Stewart and Charlie Harris lost their first match and won their second round doubles match.
NSWCCC Football
Good luck to Riley Schutz who is attending the U16’s NSWCCC Football selections in Kareela tomorrow.
Cochrane Cup Rugby League and Diocesan League Tag
Good luck to all students who are going to Moree tomorrow for the Cochrane Cup Rugby League and Diocesan League Tag. A reminder students need to be at the Inverell Tourist Information Centre at 6:50am to leave at 7:00am.
