CELEBRATING OUR FAITH 

Year 8 Mass

Thank you to Year 8 who led the Secondary Mass last Friday. It was so nice to have singing back within the Mass and also the music class playing the songs. 

5/6S Mass

5/6S will lead the Primary Mass on Friday, 7 May at 9:15am at SHC. Within this Mass will also be the commissioning of the Year 6 Mini Vinnies members. They will make a pledge of service and also receive their badges. Families are invited to attend the Mass on Friday.

2M Liturgy

The 2M liturgy will be on Friday 14 May at 9:15am in SHC. The liturgy will focus on the theme that 'Jesus is the light of the world.' This Gospel reading from John is also part of their Easter unit. Families and Friends of 2M are warmly invited to attend the liturgy next Friday.

Mother's Day Breakfast

We look forward to seeing many mums and grandmothers attending the Mother's Day Breakfast on Friday 7 May from 8:30am. 

A Mother's Day Prayer

We thank you, Creator of us all,

for our mothers.

We thank you that she gave us life and nurtured us all those years. She gave us our faith, helping us to know you and to know Jesus and his ways. She taught us how to love and how to sacrifice for others. She taught us that it was okay to cry and that we should always tell the truth.

Bless her with the graces she needs and which you want to give her today. Help her to feel precious in your eyes today and to know that we love her. Give her strength and courage, compassion and peace.

Bless her this day with your love.

Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation has been confirmed by Bishop Kennedy as being on Saturday, 29 May at 3:30pm. Please note the change in time!

On Friday, 28 May, Bishop will meet with all the candidates at Sacred Heart Church from 10am to 12noon. At this time we will also have a practise with the students about some of the formalities of the Mass.

Please remember to return the Confirmation Information form with $5 to your child's classroom teacher. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
