PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Mrs Jillian Rainger

In your thoughts and prayers...

Please keep a number of families in your thoughts and prayers over the coming weeks. Ian 'Spag' Spalding has been associated with Holy Trinity School since his student days and then in his role on Council and as a parent. Our thoughts, prayers and sympathy go to Tanya and Liam and the extended Spalding family. Also, keep Mrs Williams and Mrs Koch in your thoughts and prayers. Both have had a parent pass away in the last weeks.

Congratulations to ...

Makayde Goldman who was selected in the Polding Soccer team. It is a great achievement!

Our Secondary Chess team who defeated TAS to move into the next round of the chess competition.

Best wishes to...

Our Secondary league tag and rugby league teams competing on Wednesday in Moree against other Diocesan schools.

To Riley Schutz who is participating in the NSWCCC Soccer this week.

Look what has been going on

Legends of League

Well done to our two senior primary league teams who played in this event two weeks ago. Great sportsmanship was shown and fun had!

ANZAC Day

Our school captains, Will, Matilda, Jock and Charlotte were excellent ambassadors of our school at the ANZAC Day Service.

Warraymalaya

Lilli Watson and Cooper Ford enjoyed attending the Warraymalaya Aboriginal Retreat in Coffs Harbour last week. Thank you to Mrs Higgins and Mr Gils who accompanied them.

Mother's Day Breakfast and Mother's Day Stall

Invitations were sent home last week for our Mums, Stepmums, Grans and Nans to come along on Friday morning to have breakfast with us to celebrate Mother's Day. We can't wait to see you at 8:30am in the Infants Quadrangle. Please sign in or use our new QR codes. 1.5m physical distancing is required. RSVPs were due today ...if you haven't done so please send in your slip tomorrow to help with catering.

Our P and F will be running a Mother's Day Stall for all students on Friday.

Staying healthy during cold and flu season

Our staff received their flu vaccination last week. Please remember children should stay at home if they are unwell. If they have flu-like symptoms they must have a COVID 19 test and return a negative result to return to school. Last year we had a lot less colds and flus as students were staying home until well. Also, we continue to encourage good hygiene to minimise the spread of colds and flus.

Please remember that for any medication to be given at school, families must complete the Medication form and give it to the Front Office staff. The form can be located in the Office section of the newsletter.

Family involvement

Thursday is a busy day for family meetings. I am looking forward to listening to our families thoughts.

I am valued, respected and cared for

This is how we can make our school environment the best it can be:

  • Attend school and be part of the team
  • Be friendly; say hello
  • Be positive
  • Take time out when you need to settle
  • Choose words and a tone that is right for good conversations
  • Be a good listener
  • Care for our resources, belongings and wellbeing
  • Be a helper and a problem solver
